On Tuesday, August 19th, a group of 12 visited JICA Nagoya to learn about international cooperation.
We learned about current global issues and listened to a talk by Ms. Sakuragi, who had served in Panama as a member of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers. This provided everyone with an opportunity to think about how they themselves can contribute to international cooperation.

We also shared a school lunch menu commonly served in Uganda (each meal represents a 20-yen donation—the same amount as the cost of a school meal in some developing countries in Africa). The meal consisted of rice and a slightly spicy kidney bean soup, which we enjoyed.

After the official program ended, we continued learning by trying on traditional clothing and exploring the exhibits with great interest.

お昼はウガンダの給食メニュー🍛（１食２０円＝現地の給食代に寄付）を試食！
少しスパイシーないんげん豆のスープとご飯、美味しかったです✨

プログラム後は民族衣装の試着や展示見学も楽しみ、学びが広がりました。
